Miss You

It's been a year Jake.
And we still miss you so much it hurts.
We talk about you often.  About your sweet, mellow ways and your crazy antics.
Like swiping a whole pan of brownies fresh out of the oven off the counter without making a sound or breaking the dish.
You might be gone, but you're never far from our thoughts or left out of our conversation.
Hope you're having the time of your life in puppy heaven.
We love you and miss you.
Just wanted you to know.

Mother's Day

 Me and my 4 babies!!!

For Mother's Day this year we went and got Legendary Donuts (my fave donut shop) and took our bikes, bats, mitts, and balls and spent the day at the park.  The kids each picked out a special donut (Fin got the "Tinkerbell" donut of course and had a heck of a time eating it since it was practically as big as she was!).  We ate our donuts and played on the play toy, rode bikes and played baseball.  It was so fun and so relaxing that we might just make it our new tradition.  It was my 1st Mother's Day as a mother of 4 and I couldn't help feeling incredibly blessed and so thankful for my healthy kids.

Fin's Last Day of "3's Class"

Finley had a fantastic year in her 3's class.  She willingly went everyday.  She'd wake up every morning and ask "Do I have school today?"  and on the days when she didn't she'd be bummed.  She LOVED her teachers and thrived in their class.  They were shocked at how much she blossomed from the start of the year to the end.  She was quiet and shy in the beginning and at the end she was talking/interacting with everyone a lot more.  When the older preschool class was out on the play toy at the same time as her class, she'd quietly stand holding Miss Susan's hand and watch everyone play.  I asked her why she didn't play when the older kids were out and she said she was "too scared".  In the fall she'll be one of those older kids.  On the last day of school it literally felt like 2 months ago when I was dropping her off for her 1st day.  It absolutely flew.  Made me so happy to have one more baby to experience that sweet school and those precious first few years of preschool/Kindergarten.  You did awesome this year Fin.  I know you're sad it's over and you still talk about how much you miss your teachers, but you're going to have such a great time this next year too.  We're proud of you and love our pretty little Finley girl so much!!!
