Goofball

The other day in the car, we were listening to music and Finley said "My favorite song is "Baby You're a Firework" and "Baby You're a Meatball".  I laughed and said "I love the Firework song too, but I'm not familiar with Baby You're a Meatball.  But, baby, now I want to have me some meatballs!!!"  She and I had a good laugh over that one.  Now, whenever I hear the firework song I think of meatballs and my tummy growls.  She is quite a character, that little Finley :)

MV Days

In the beginning of June we went to MV Days again and we didn't get rained on this time which was a huge bonus!  The kids had fun with their cousins going on all the rides and driving the train with their Papa.  We did not bring home any fish this year.   I made sure we steered clear of that game.  Cooper slept through the entire thing which was awesome.  Saw lots of friends there and had a wonderful time.  Kids got their faces painted and looked so cute that we didn't want to wash it off!  Can't wait for next year.  It'll be here again before we know it!

Nails

Berkeley and I played nail salon and she did my nails for me

And her own!
Berkeley and I made our annual trip to the nail salon after another great school year.  We started that tradition after she finished her kindergarten year and have kept doing it after each successful grade she completes.  This year she let me pick out my own color and in the spirit of choosing something completely opposite of what I normally would, I chose a very bright and bold "construction orange".  I felt like Rickie Fowler's biggest fan :)  She decided to get stars added to hers.  I was going to get my fingernails done too, but somehow that all got lost in translation.  I can't always understand the gals in the salon, so I usually just smile and nod, but apparently she asked me if I wanted my fingers done and I shook my head no.  I thought she was gesturing towards the stars wanting to know if I wanted stars added and I said no, the orange was a big enough statement for me :)  So, we headed home and I was sad that my nails weren't done so Berk volunteered to do them for me.  So, I let her paint my nails a bright pink with gold sparkles over the top of them.  She did a lovely job and we had fun playing nail salon.  Another year and Fin will be accompanying us to get her nails done after she completes Kindergarten! She can't wait!
