Berkeley lucked out this year...her birthday fell on a Friday and there was no school that day!  We had her birthday party from 5-8 and did something a little different this year.  We gave her the option of doing her birthday party the way we always do it or told her she could have a "friend" birthday party and invite some girls from school.  She chose to invite 6-7 girls from school.  We were a little nervous since we've never done it that way before, but I must say, it was SO easy!  They all came and went upstairs and played till I called them down for pizza and cake/ice cream.  It was almost like there was no one there!!!  I would highly recommend doing it that way!  I honestly think it was the easiest birthday party we've ever done!  People always tell me as they get older, birthdays get easier and I never really believed them or put much thought into it, but boy, is it true!

She got lots of fun horse stuff.  Tom and I got her a weekend at horse camp and she was so excited.  She kept telling me that was the best birthday present ever and was so anxious to do it.  It seems weird that she is 7.  That seems so old to me.  In another 3 short years she'll be 10.  That's so bizarre and sounds so old!!!  I'm not sure that I like it.
